Kevin Hulsey
PT, DPT, CEO

"Insatiable" seems like an odd description of Kevin Hulsey, physical therapist and CEO of  RehabAuthority. In fact, the thing that stands out about Kevin when you meet him is his calm, quiet and easygoing nature. But Kevin's drive to understand and continually learn about the mechanics and healing power of the human body keeps him and his entire team on the forefront of therapeutic care for their patients at RehabAuthority.

A Texas native, Kevin graduated from the College of Idaho, completed his Master of Physical Therapy degree at Mount St. Mary's College and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Idaho State University.  His first professional move was to found RehabAuthority with a purpose to “Solve Back and Neck Problems!"

Since that beginning in 1999, RehabAuthority has grown its reach to include offices throughout Idaho.

Kevin loves helping people feel good again. But even more, loves his beautiful and talented wife, Leslie, a wonderful mother and professional opera singer. They are the proud parents of two children.

Matthew Smith
PT, DPT

Matt's approach to physical therapy mirrors his approach to life: Matt is a teacher. He loves learning. And he loves sharing his knowledge with others.

After earning his Bachelor degree from Albertson College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho, he pursued his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, where he met the love of his life, Samantha. Between his studies he discovered SCUBA diving and soon became a certified SCUBA Diving Instructor. To counterbalance this warm weather sport he also volunteered during the winter as a ski instructor for a program called Ski-for-All, teaching kids with disabilities how to downhill ski. When looking for a place to call home Matt was drawn back to Idaho. Matt joined the RehabAuthority team, and he and Samantha have made Homedale their home and a place to raise their 2 beautiful children, Cali and Carsten.

Matt’s love for learning and teaching did not stay in Washington. Since joining the RehabAuthority team Matt has pursued multiple certifications starting in 2008 with a certification in Manual physical therapy. He proceeded to earn his board certification in orthopedic physical therapy in 2009, and finally earned his Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy certification from the McKenzie Institute in 2009. He continues to grow in knowledge as he shares what he as learned both as the coordinator for continuing education for RehabAuthority as well as instructing for the International Spine and Pain Institute.

Matt loves the Idaho outdoor life with hiking, fly fishing, skiing, SCUBA diving, horseback riding as well as participating and instructing in martial arts. But his professional passion comes from treating his patients with the highest quality of care so that they can experience the difference.
